Wings Beyond Boundaries
She grew up in the plains of Indiana, in a small country town, in an elegant home with a wide veranda out front, within a community of kind and generous neighbors, simple people who looked after each other and kept their doors unlocked. All knew everyone and everything. That came with good and bad, of course.
Generations of her family lived in the town. Those early settlers came over from Ireland during the potato famine. America gave them opportunities, and they gave the country their gratitude. An American flag always hung proudly at the front of their home, and they celebrated Independence Day as though their own ancestors fought the battles of the revolution. They did fight the battles of America's Civil War.
