Courage Amidst the Vines
In the small, picturesque village of Épernay, nestled in the French countryside, lived a young woman named Adèle. With her expressive green eyes and an innate strength masked by her slender frame, she was far from an ordinary woman. In her simmered a spirit of rebellion and a heart filled with courage.
Adèle, daughter of a vintner, used to lead a simple, carefree life. But now, in 1942, as winds of war swept over France, and with German soldiers patrolling their streets and her father's vineyards confiscated, life was anything but carefree. One afternoon, as she returned from the town market, she witnessed her childhood friend, Marcel, apprehended by German soldiers for an alleged association with the French Resistance. A surge of anger and helplessness welled up inside her. That night, under the dim glow of the oil lamp in her father's study, she decided to join the Resistance.
